Fishing is done in the banks of rivers and lakes, wading, as well as from watercraft (including float tubes).  In the US, simply by using a more proven method, one study found that pike would not live more 24 years , however in Sweden one study has not, with certainty, been able to prove pike live over 16 years.  Novices has to be in a position to persuade trout it is an enticing food and that they should eat it.
